We try our best to do #MeatlessMondays and tonight's meal was one of our favorites - Naked Pasta. All that really means is that it is not covered in sauce, instead it's olive oil based with red pepper flakes, lemon zest, garlic, salt, black pepper and tonight's variation is whole wheat fresh panko bread crumbs saute with parsley and garlic to add a little crunch. The texture is a nice compliment to el dante pasta and because I am always looking to see what is fresh in the garden, the little while flowers are from the Garlic Chives. Tasty, mild and pretty.

DeleteThis is a meal that satisfies every time, the key is to balance the flavors so no one is prominent over the others. I always finish my bowl off with a squeeze of lemon and Paulie's with black pepper.
