Bona of LiveLoveScrap on YouTube hosted a Birdcage swap in May and the following is my contribution along with the recipe:
• Dimension - 3 x 5 inches backed on medium chipboard
• Top layer is corrugated paper inked with Adirondack Copper and Distress Pealed Paint
• Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix die - Caged Bird, cut in medium chipboard, painted with Copper Acrylic paint and stamped with Old French text, buffed with Distress Pealed Paint and covered with Nicole Glitter Glue in clear. The bird was embossed with Marquisate embossing powder and a PRIMA pearl for the eye. The wing was covered with 3 leaves off the leaf ribbon Bona likes so much, originally it was silver but did not work with the overall design so a swipe of the Copper Acrylic paint toned it down
• The bottom of the birdcage has holes which were laced with an iridescent ribbon tied in a bow
• Flowers were all covered in clear glitter glue and joined with a tiny green brad
• All the pieces were hot glued to the base
- The back simply marked with my info and swap name.
I love the bird cage. Birds are my favorite to craft. especially this time of year. I like the glitter effect on the bird and the tag you showed. Great Job again. Have a good one
